Day 14- Kilkenny to Cork

|

As predicted yesterday, I returned to The Pantry for breakfast this morning, had a plain scone and an Earl Grey tea again and it was just as delicious as yesterday :). I had some time to kill before I could check into my AirBnB in Cork so I decided to walk around Kilkenny a little more and found another trail that runs behind the castle wall near the river.

After wandering around Kilkenny for a bit I decided to make my way to Cork to check into my new AirBnB. This was definitely one of the nicer AirBnB’s I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and my hosts Gerry and Maureen, a retired couple, were adorable and ever so sweet. I loved the set up of the little private apartment and it was extremely cozy. After I dropped off my luggage I made my way to downtown Cork to do a bit of exploring. I walked around for a bit and found a little restaurant called Liberty Grill and enjoyed a steak and a delicious Negroni. I walked around some more and found a bar called Oliver Plunkett’s that said they had live music on Wednesday nights, unfortunately it was only 1830 and the band didn’t start until 2000, I had a beer and sat for a little while but eventually decided to just head out because the parking garage I parked in closed at 2100, I was starting to get tired, and I knew there was a big day ahead of me tomorrow!
